The Perfect Place to Grow is a cafe and training kitchen, situated in Margate, that supports 18-24 year olds not in education or work, into long-term, sustainable employment. Founded by Lee Coad (Angela’s), Harry Ryder (Bottega Caruso) and Ani James, young people learn in the kitchen alongside working in a wide range of related trades, in order to teach the skills and receive the support needed to change their long-term futures.

For three weeks in November 2024 (5th-23rd) we will be temporarily moving Angela’s to The Perfect Place to Grow and creating special menus cooked with, and served by the trainees. This will include dishes inspired by the work The Perfect Place to Grow has done with young refugees in Margate, alongside dishes created by trainees from Thanet. It is going to be a very special three weeks that will showcase the important support provided for young people in our local community.
