We have a whole host of events from 17-21st November 2025 as part of little LOW Margate – a wine event that showcases some of the best low-intervention and natural wines from across the world. Starting with The LOW Crawl. A hospitality workers race from venue to venue across the low-intervention bars and restaurants of Margate, stopping on the way to sample the delights of the special glasses put on during little LOW Margate and raising money for charity.

A special dinner with Ben Lippet and Abbie Moulton

Ben Lippett is a cook, food writer, and acclaimed author of his new book How I Cook. Having spent years working in a number of restaurants in the UK, USA and Australia – including a stint as a butcher in the Sussex Countryside – Ben made the leap to writing. He will be joining us to cook a four-course menu that will be paired with some of England’s finest low-intervention wines selected by the author of New British WIne, Abbie Moulton. This really is one not to be missed!

Alt-Nouveau: A look at vibrant English reds - Beaujolais style.

Margate will be celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau all over town, and quite rightly too. However here at Dory’s we do things differently. Before or after tasting the Beaujolais’ come and taste some juicy English reds that can stand up to any of the nouveau style wines France can offer. We will be serving them by the glass with a long forgotten classic of ours - mackerel baps.
