Angela’s philosophy is an uncomplicated one. We aim to serve delicious, ethically sourced, sustainable seafood, alongside simple, seasonal vegetable-based dishes.
We will always endeavour to be sustainable, both in our ingredients and our everyday practices, and work with the local community to specifically reduce the amount of waste we produce that might otherwise end up in landfill.
We have partnered with the wonderful Windmill Community Gardens in Margate to turn our food waste directly into compost – in our own composting machine – to enable them to produce more of our raw and organic ingredients....closing the loop.
We will always consider our people and our planet first, working directly with growers, fishermen and suppliers who understand how to make the most of their produce and at the same time minimise the impact on our environment.
We have a daily changing menu depending on what is fresh from the boats that morning. Our seafood is sustainably caught and all our vegetables are organic or pesticide free. Here is a sample of what we are doing at the moment...

There are many, many good wines made in the world – far too many to put on a wine list as small as ours, however over the last few months of travelling around the country to see cheesemakers, dairies, fisherman and farmers, we always managed to find time to pop into a vineyard or two. By doing this we have come to realise that English made wine stands up to some of the very best in the world and is now attracting some very talented winemakers to produce some outstanding wines. At Angela's the idea that we can visit and work with the vineyards or winemakers directly makes it an extra special relationship and one that we intend to continue. We are on our way to making ours a wine list that compromises mainly of English made wines, and if one day it can be all English made then that sounds perfect. Here are just a couple of the wines we are currently in love with...
Renegade are one of the new wave of urban wineries in London. They make small batch wines using grapes from around the UK and Europe. The grapes are hand harvested and vinified in the arches of Bethnal Green, creating complex and exciting wines. And as they say... 'get it cold and get it drunk'...
Tillingham Vineyard is at the forefront of winemaking in England and is producing some of the most in demand wines in the UK. Ben Walgate produce’s low intervention wines, some of which are produced in imported Georgian Qvevris that result in incredibly textured and unusual wines using traditional English grapes.
